 BLOOD THREAT TO OPERATIONS        
                                 
 A hospital in Oxford has had to cancel 
 operations after the National Blood    
 Authority recalled several thousand    
 pints of blood from hospitals.         
                                        
 $hj John Radcliffe Hospital, along with
 many other hospitals, has had to send  
 blood back after a fault was discovered
 in the heat seal of some batches.      
                                        
 $hj Rbdcliffe said between five and 10 
 non-urgent operations were postponed.
