 Victims of negative equity have        
 received a boost from the High Court in
 a battle against obstructive policies  
 of some banks and building societies.  
                                        
 A judge overruled the Halifax'u refusal
 to allow a couple to sell their home at
 the best price obtainable and deduct   
 conveyancing fees from the proceeds.
