 STRIKE HITS LONDON TUBE         

 London Underground is hoping to run at 
 least three out of four trains despite 
 a strike over pay and conditions.      
                                        
 Some 5,500 mjmbjrs of the Rail Maritime
 and Transport union were called on to  
 stop work for 24 hours from midnight.  
                                        
 $hj main drivers' union Aslef decided  
 not to strike and will ballot mjmbjrs  
 on an offer of 3% on pay and an hour   
 less on the working week.
