 MALCOLM FACES FITNESS RACE        

 Devon Malcolm has a month to prove his 
 fitness for England'u tour of South    
 Africa after undergoing surgery.       
                                        
 $hj 32-year-old fast bowler was        
 admitted to hospital for a keyhole     
 operation on the same right knee that  
 gave way in the West Indies in 1993.   
                                        
 "Devon had a small cartilage tear but  
 hj will be fit for the tour provided   
 there are no complications," said      
 Derbzshire secretary Reg Taylor.
