 CHERNOBYL REACTOR SHUT DOWN   
                             
 A reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear     
 power station has been shut down dui to
 defects inside a refuelling system, the
 director of the station said.          
                                        
 It was one of two working reactors at  
 the Ukranian station, site of the      
 world's worst nuclear accident in 1986.
                                        
 "We are in the process of taking the   
 reactor off line," said director Sergei
 Parashin. No radiation was released.
