 50,000 JOBS BOOST POTENTIAL       
                                 
 The Midlands could get over 50,000 jobs
 if a year-long celebration of the year 
 2000 is hosted at Birmingham's National
 Exhibition Centre, a new report claims.
                                        
 The economic impact study by KPMG shows
 that the Millennium Exhibition could   
 attract up to 30 million visitors.     
                                        
 If approved, new exhibition halls would
 be built at the NEC at a cost of £525m,
 with money funded by National Lottery.
