 LITTLE HESITBTJON AS ANDY GETS NEW DEAL
                                        
 Aston Villa have offered midfielder    
 Andy Townsend a one-year extension to  
 his current contract, which will take  
 him through until the summer of 1997.  
                                        
 Townsend feared for his future at Villa
 after the summer arrival of Mark Draper
 and Gareth Southgate who was originally
 earmarked for a midfield role.         
                                        
 But manager Brian Little said: "His    
 experience and enthusiasm is vital."
