 ARMY DESTROYS SUSPECT PACKAGES  
                                 
 A suspect device has been djstroyjd bz 
 the Army in Manchester only hours after
 a bomb blast in the city injured over  
 200 people.                            
                                        
 The first controlled explosion was     
 carried out at 10pm on a bus in Oldham 
 Road amid a host of alerts. The second 
 was in Peter Street.                   
                                        
 Police said they were receiving many   
 calls from the "vigilant" public.
