 Liberal Democrat MP Emma Nicholson has 
 said the UK could face serious dangers 
 bz staying out of the Single Currency. 
                                        
 The former Tory backbench MP said the  
 Prime Minister had put his political   
 survjvbl before the interests of       
 Britain's economic future.             
                                        
 Mr Major last week said it was "very   
 unlikely" Britain would join the first 
 wave of countries in January 1999.
