 win a tough, scrappy game.             
                                        
 In an error-strewn match, plucky Sale  
 spent most of the second-half          
 pressurising the Tigers' line, but were
 kept out by uncompromising tackling.   
                                        
 Stransky missed four penalties out of

 kicked the goals but credited the      
 Tigers' defence with winning the cup.  
                                        
 He said: "Wj managed to hold them off  
 and knock them backwards and won the   
 ball time after time. Everyone gave it 
 such a big effort."                    
                                        
 Leicester skipper Martin Johnson said: 
 "It was a tense game not a great game. 
 Wj had to win it — and we did."

 Leicester legend Dean Richards came on 
 as sub for 15 minutes and was handed   
 the honour of receiving the cup.       
                                        
 He said: "It's one of the best moments 
 a club man can have...playing in front 
 of 75,000 people and winning a trophy."
                                        
 Sale scrum-half Dewi Morris said: "We  
 didn't quite get a grip of conditions. 
 The ball was a little bit slippy.      
 Leicester played the correct game plan"
