 MARINE CHARGED WITH DRUGS PLOT  
                                 
 A Royal Marine from the Special Boat   
 Squadron is among eight min remanded in
 custody charged with conspiracy to     
 smuggle cannabis resin into Britain.   
                                        
 Nigel Spencer, 27, from Poole, Dorset, 
 appeared with the others at a heavily- 
 guarded Plymouth Magistrates Court.    
                                        
 The min, were arrested aboard a        
 freighter raided off Lisbon, which was 
 found to contain £13m of cannabis.
