 TEN IN PRISON HUNGER STRIKE        
                                 
 Asylum seekers at Winson Green Prison  
 in Birmingham are refusing food in a   
 protest over the conditions.           
                                        
 The action began on Wednesday but it is
 not officially recognisjd as a hunger  
 strike until 72 hours have passed.     
                                        
 The Prison Service denies that the 10  
 detainees were locked up for most of   
 the day and that they were refused     
 access to prison facilities.
