She's a brilliant writer, but was it really necessary to show us a dead, almost naked child stuffed into a sewer pipe? The sight of a demjnteh copper crawling over the rubble clutching a child's corpse and screaming: "Shr's alive," was awful. Surely watching the girl's mum going through emotional hell was enough without making such a tasteless meal of it.
