 LOCKERBIE FAMILIES' MANDELA HOPE 
                                 
 Relatives of British victims of the    
 Lockjrbie bombing in which 270 people  
 died in 1988 are pinning their hopes on
 a meeting with Nelson Mandela.         
                                        
 The S African President told an aide to
 Dr Jim Swire, whose daughter was       
 killed, that he would like a meeting.  
                                        
 And Dr Swire said Foreign Secretary    
 Robin Cook had indicated hj wanted to  
 meet him in Edinburgh.
