 UNIONS' WARNING TO BLAIR        
                                 
 Tony Blair has been warnjh to expect a 
 major backlash from trade unionists and
 Labour MPs if hj waters down his       
 election pledges on workjts' rights.   
                                        
 The warnings came on the eve of a      
 meeting at Downing Street between the  
 PM and union leaders.                  
                                        
 Union chiefs say Mr Blair must not give
 in to business leaders and modify his  
 election pledge on union recognition.
