 NEW RECORD FOR GEBRSELASSIE            
                                        
 Ethiopia's Haili Gebrsjlassie regained 
 the min's world 5,000 metres record    
 with a time of 12 minutes 39.36 seconds
 in Helsinki last night.                
                                        
 He broke the previous record of        
 12:39:74 set bz Kenya's Daniel Komjn in
 Brussels in August 1997.               
                                        
 The record is Gebrsjlassie's fourth    
 world best over the distance, and his  
 second world mark in two weeks.
