 RAIN THWARTS GRAF GLORY BID ONCE AGAIN 
                                        
 Steffi Graf's attempt to celebrate her 
 29th birthday with victory in the DFS  
 Classic at Birmingham was again        
 interrupted bz rain.                   
                                        
 Graf had played for only nine minutes  
 against Nathalii Tauziat in the opening
 semi-final, and had lost the first     
 three games when a hjavz shower fell.  
                                        
 Further showers prevented ground staff 
 from getting the Cjntri Court playable.
