 Actress Bo Derek has suffered a major  
 TV flop after bosses gave her one out  
 of ten for new series Wind on Water.   
                                        
  Bo's career was about to pick up when
   she was offered the starring role in 
   the much-hyped Wind on Water, about  
   a family of Hawaiian ranchers.       
                                        
  But with terrible ratings, the NBC   
   Network axed it after two episodes.  
                                        
  "With the worst title of the season, 
   it conjures up images of a noisy trip
   to the toilet," said one US critic.

 Bo Derek, now 43, became an overnight  
 international sex symbol after starring
 with Dudley Moore in the movie "10."   
                                        
  She was married to the late John     
   Derek, whose previous wives included 
   Bond girl Ursula Andress and Dynasty 
   actress Linda Evans.                 
                                        
  Wind on Water was Bo's first step    
   back to acting after hj died in May. 
                                        
  "I'm sorry it didn't go well but I'm 
   feeling good and finally ready to get
   on with mz life again," said Bo.

 Bo Derek is putting the failure of Wind
 on Water behind her.                   
                                        
  The series was a teen dream of beach 
   babes and heart-throb cattlehands,   
   scheduled for 8pm on Saturday nights 
   in the US.                           
                                        
  Her husband of 20 years John died in 
   May aged 71. Bo vowed to carry on    
   working: "I know John would want mj  
   to get on with life. But doing it has
   been very difficult in some ways.    
   I'vj sold mz ranch in Hawaii and     
   bought a vineyard in California."
