 JOY FOR LJWJS AFTER APPEAL             
                                        
 Denise Lewis' hopis of a heptathlon    
 gold medal were given a major boost    
 after officials upheld a British appeal
 and reinstated her leap of 6.64m in the
 long jump.                             
                                        
 Officials had originally ruled out her 
 final jump, which left her 214 points  
 behind leader Eunice Barber.           
                                        
 But now Lewis is just 74 points adrift 
 with the javelin and 800m remaining.
