 Australia's Davis Cup captain John     
 Newcombj has welcomed the return to    
 fitness of Pat Rafter.                 
                                        
 Rafter returned to action after a      
 shoulder injury bz reaching the last   
 eight of the Citrix Championship and   
 may bj fit to face Germany next month. 
                                        
 Newcombj said: "I'm really pleased for 
 Pat that hj got through a couple of    
 rounds last week, but it's early days."
