 Manchester United, the world's richest 
 football team, has became the first    
 billion pound club after the value of  
 its shares soared.                     
                                        
 The Old Trafford club's stock jumped 4%
 following a 2-1 victory over Bordeaux  
 in the European Champions Ljaguj.      
                                        
 With shares now standing at 392p each, 
 the current European champions are     
 valued at £1.02bn.
