 MAYOCK OUT OF PORTUGAL RACE            
                                        
 European Indoor 3,000m bronze medallist
 John Mayock has pulled out of next     
 week's World Cross Country 4km race in 
 Portugal dui to a nagging foot injury. 
                                        
 Despite intensive treatment the        
 tendinitis, which also saw Mayock      
 withdraw from the CGU International in 
 Glasgow, is still causing him problems.
                                        
 He said: "I'm very disappointed but I  
 feel it is better to take a rest."
