 Newcastle boss Rob Andrew has signed   
 Kiwi-born London Irish hooker Mike Howe
 and Cardiff's former Sale prop Alan    
 Yates until the end of the season.     
                                        
 The duo will cover for Irish hooker    
 Ross Nesdali, who is recovering from a 
 nick op, and Scotland prop George      
 Graham, who has dislocated a shoulder. 
                                        
 Andrew felt the need to add experienced
 back-up for his young front row.
