 SMITH — STARLETS MAY FOLLOW HUGHES     
                                        
 Evjrton manager Walter Smith believes  
 young English stars will have to follow
 the example set bz Stephen Hughes' and 
 quit Premiership clubs loaded with     
 foreign stars to further their careers.
                                        
 The Goodison Park chief said: "This is 
 what happens with younger players who  
 are at successful, big clubs.          
                                        
 "They have to move to other clubs      
 before they get the opportunity to     
 thrive on a more regular basis."
