 It has been confirmed that the Attorne8
 General, Sir Patrick Mayhew, visited   
 Belfast last week for talks with legal 
 officials.                             
                                        
 The visit comes amid controversy over  
 the decision not to prosecute any RUC  
 members for involvement in the alleged 
 RUC "shoot to kill" policy.            
                                        
 No reason for the visit has yet been   
 given but it is thought the talks may  
 have concerned the Diplock court system
