The deal, between National Union of Seamen officials and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, will be put to the company's 160 workers tomorrow. The agreement is thought to include a reduction in the number of planned job cuts by the company and an offer of about £10,000 redundancy pay per man. The dispute began when the Manx company sacked 161 seamen who were on strike over cuts in jobs, wages and holidays. News index 102/202 Newsreel 119/219
