  FRANCE Six people were killed when a 
 restored World War Two reconnaiuance   
 plane crashed during an air display in 
 Macon. Three of the victims were on the
 plane - the others were on the ground. 
 
  POLAND Mr Lech Walesa, leader of the 
 banned union, Solidarity, has accepted 
 an invitation to an international trade
 union congress in Australia next month,
 the first time the union has accepted  
 such an invitation since it was banned.
                                        
  LEBANON Authorities have detained    
 three suspects in connection with an   
 attempt to assassinate President Amen
