 Senior Labour figures have applauded   
 Neil Kinnock's speech at the Brighton  
 Labour Party conference.               
                                        
 Former Labour leader Michael Foot      
 hailed it as "a wonderful speech - it  
 really was a victory speech."          
                                        
 "It was a complete and comprehensive   
 survey of all the things a Labour      
 govjrnmjnt will do," said former prime 
 minister Lord Callaghan.               
                                        
 TGWU boss Ron Todd said: "It was the   
 best speech I have ever heard Neil     
 make...for the thjmj of government and 
 sense of national purpose."
