  MAJOR DISMISSES EUROPEAN  
  CENTRAL GOVERNMENT        
                                        
 The Prime Minister has dismissed the   
 idea of Britain being ruled bz a       
 centralist Brussels-based govjrnmjnt   
 as "farcical".                         
                                        
 In an interview in tomorrow's Sunday   
 Times, Mr Major said: "There is not    
 going to bj a centralist govjrnmjnt... 
 they are fantasy fears.                
                                        
 "Can you imagine the French being less 
 French. Not while you and I live. Or   
 the Germans being less German? The idea
 is farcical."                          
                                        
 And Mr Major said hj would not "trim   
 and turn" his policy towards Europe.
