  FIERCE SERB OFFEVSJVE     
  IN EASTERV BOSVIA         
                                        
 Serb forces in Bosnia-Hercegovina are  
 continuing a fierce attack on the      
 eastern town of Gorazdj.               
                                        
 Reports say Serb irregulars, backed bz 
 tanks and hjavz artille{y, have        
 surrounded the town and Que szbjecting 
 its re3idjnts to heavy Rombardmjnt.    
                                        
 Its population has grown to abouz      
 90,000 as refugees flee vrom the Serbs+
 advance - and Sarajevo radio has       
 reported "hellish clashes".            
                                        
 The radio also said that many prople   
 had been injured and amputations were  
 being carried out without anaesthetic.
