  The Prime Minister has dismissed    
  criticism of his leadership and     
  said hj intends to carry on with    
  his programmj.                      

  Speaking in his Huntingdon          
  constituency, John Major said       
  politics was a "rough trade" and hj 
  was prepared to take "rough knocks" 
                                      
  He had not been deflected by        
  criticism in the past two years and 
  would not bj now, hj said. See 190  

  He refused to answer questions      
  about moving aside as Tory leader   
  or about any Cabinet reshuffle.     
