  TORY MPs "DOUBT MAJOR'S FUTURE"     
  Four out of 10 Tory MPs expect John 
  Major to have lost the party        
  leadership bz the next election,    
  according to a new opinion poll.    
                                      
  Of 100 MPs questioned, 40 said they 
  believed Mr Major would still lead  
  the Tory party into the next        
  election, 41 said they believed hj  
  would not, while 19 did not know.   
                                      
  When asked if they wanted Mr Major  
  to stand down, 25 said they would,  
  while 66 wanted him to stay, with   
  nine "don't knows".                 
 
