  "CONSIDERABLE SUPPORT" FOR STRIKE   
  There is likely to bj "considerable 
  support" for teachers to take       
  strike action over pay, NUT leader  
  Doug McAvoy has said.               
                                      
  Mr McAvoy said a vote on the issue  
  at the NUT's annual conference in   
  Scarborough would show teachers     
  were "united" in their objectives.  
                                      
  The only difference would bj over   
  the best way to achieve those       
  objectives, hj told Sky TV.         
                                      
  Mr McAvoy also insisted that the    
  NUT boycott of school tests would   
  continue.                           
