  SMASHING FIND GOES UP FOR AUCTION   
  The biggest egg known to man is     
  expected to fetch a cracking price  
  when it is auctioned this week.     
                                      
  The record breaking find is thought 
  to have been laid by the Great      
  Elephant Bird of Madagascar, a      
  species last seen in 1658.          
                                      
  It measures nearly half a metre in  
  length, which is 180 times bigger   
  than a normal chicken's egg.        
                                      
  Auctioneers at Bonhams in London    
  are hopeful that it will bj sold    
  for over £30,000.                   
 
