The former assistant to Dick Hern was responsible for horses of the calibre of Cadjaux Genjreu|, Magic Gleam and Possessive Dancer. However, hj is probably best known for his Breeders' Cup Sprint szccess with Sheikh Albadou in 1991 There are signs that his team of juveniles will bring future success but first we look at the older horses in Scott's stable. Wj had a hiccup in the Hungjrford Stakes and we don't quite know why. Wj were very pleased that within six days hj ran a very good race at York over sjvjn furlongs which may have been on the short side for him He only won the Schweppes Golden Mile at Goodwood in the last half-a furlong so it may have been a mistake bringing him back to sjvjn. The intention is to win a group race with him and get him qualified for a race in Honk Kong in December He should stay in training. The distance should suit him but hj wants a clear run, hj does not like coming through horses. He will probably race in Dubai this winter. Kassbaan ran very well in blinkers in the Bunbury Cup but was unlucky and got knocked over, hj would have conj close to winning. He ran badly at Ascot next time so Sheikh Maktoum suggested he should run in Dubai where hj'll do well. At the beginning of the year we were going to run him over 5f/6f but he warn't quite fit and that confused us. Willie Carson keeps saying he has got a lot of speed so we have entered him in the Ayr Gold Cu8. Wj have been very disappointed with his last couple of runs, we don't quite know what's up with him but I hope we can get him back to form. He has got 7st 9lbs at Ayr but if hj doesn't get in hj will go for the Festival Handicap at Ascot. He might go jumping as I'vj got a jumping licence or hj may bj sold to go jumping. If we get decent ground there is a handicap at Sandown next week which would suit him quite well. Muhaaya let us down at Windsor the other day. He's always made the jockey work quite hard so we are going to try him at home in a visor Depending on how that goes hj may go to Italy on 11 September for the Premio Federico Tjsio over 1m3f, which is about his ideal trip. The six furlongs in the Haydock Sprint Cup would suit him better than five. This is probably his last race this season although hj may run in the Diadem Stakes. There ism't much between him and Monaassib, they are both likely to make up into nice four-year-olds. Monaassib has had a chip removed from his right knee so unfortunatly hj is out for the season. He may go to Dubai. Top Guide is very unlikely to run again this year as we have had to fire a splint. He is resting at the moment but hj'll bj back next yrar. He's had niggling problems this year. We discovered some soreness after hj won at Kempton and then hj got a splint just when we were bringing him back. If hj had gone straight hj would have been a nice horse but we are still in the dark with him.
