  LABOUR URGES ELECTRICITY PRICE CUT  
  Labour has urged the electricity    
  regulator, Stephen Littlechild, to  
  cut prices immediately.             
                                      
  Consumer spokesman Nigel Griffiths  
  said the directors of the           
  electricity firms were "getting     
  rich at every consumer's expense".  
                                      
  He said the profits, which were     
  "four times the rate of             
  inflation", came a year after the   
  National Consumer Council accused   
  the companies of overcharging.      
                                      
  Mr Griffiths said the firms were    
  guilty of "gross profiteering".     
