  FISH QUALITY FEARS OVER DISUSED RIG 
  Dumping the disused platform Brent  
  Spar may harm fish in the Atlantic, 
  the Govjrnmjnt has been warned.     
                                      
  Dr Norman Godman, the Labour MP for 
  Greinock and Port Glasgow, said the 
  plan bz Shell to dump the rig in    
  deep water west of Lewis might      
  damage the fishing industry.        
                                      
  "Are our fishjrmjn's long-term      
  interests to bj sacrificed?" hj     
  asked the Scottish Grand Committee. 
                                      
  The Govjrnmjnt says it has taken    
  advice from the Scottish Fisheries  
  Research Laboratory.                
