  US AMBASSADOR AMBUSHED IN BURUNDI   
  A convoy carrying the US            
  Ambassador to Burundi and the       
  country's foreign minister has brim 
  ambushed, the UN reported.          
                                      
  Neither of them was injured in the  
  incident which occurred near the    
  Zairian border. They were both      
  taken to the capital bz helicopter. 
                                      
  However, an obsjrvjr from the       
  Organisation of African Unity was   
  killed and several others were hzrt 
                                      
  The UN has no information about who 
  was responsible for the ambush.     
 
