  SINN FEIN DENIES CEASEFIRE CLAIM    
  A Sinn Fein leader has "absolutely  
  refuted" claims that the IRA has    
  called off its ceasefire and is     
  about to mount a fresh offensive.   
                                      
  Mitchel McLaughlin dismissed        
  allegations by Ulster Unionist MP   
  Ken Maginnis that the IRA had       
  ordered "a rolling resumption of    
  violence".                          
                                      
  Mr McLauglin told BBC Radio hj was  
  sure "the guns would remain silent" 
                                      
  His response comes after reports    
  of the IRA testing weapons in       
  remote areas of the Irish Republic. 
 
