  NO LET UP IN KARACHI ETHNIC DISPUTE 
  A strike called by the ethnic       
  Mohajir Qami Movement has paralysjd 
  the Pakistani city of Karachi for   
  the second day in a row.            
                                      
  The party has said there will bj a  
  two-day strike each week until the  
  authorities release a number of MQM 
  activists they are holding.         
                                      
  At least 11 people have been killed 
  and eight others injured in         
  shooting incidents in different     
  parts of the city.                  
                                      
  Shops in the city are shut and      
  there is no public transport.       
 
