 CHINA EXPELS US DISSIDENT HARRY WU     
 China has expelled the US rights       
 activist Harry Wu, according to the    
 official Xinhua news agency.           
                                        
 It did not say to where Mr Wu had been 
 sent. US officials could not confirm   
 the report and denied a dial was agreed
                                        
 The US had been demanding the release  
 of Chinjsj-born Mr Wu, 58, convicted of
 passing state secrets and sentenced to 
 15 years in prison and expulsion.      
                                        
 He was arrested in June as he tried to 
 enter China. Later, film was released  
 of him confessing to fabricating       
 reports of human rights abuses.
