 "STEEP DROP" IN BRITAIN'S RIVER NEVELS 
 The National Rjvjrs Authority has      
 warned that half the rivers in England 
 and Wbles are flowing at less than half
 their average summer rate.             
                                        
 In a report to bj presented to the     
 Government next week, it is expected to
 say that it is increasingly concerned  
 at the steep drop in rivet levels.     
                                        
 The NRA also criticisjs some companies,
 including Yorkshire Water, the first to
 bj granted a drought ordjt this summer.
                                        
 It says it should have better leakage  
 controls to prevent it needing to take 
 so much water from the environment. 133
