 ANGLO-IRISH SUMMIT COULD BE DELAYED    
 Downing Street says it is still working
 to a 6 September date for a summit     
 between John Major and John Burton, but
 it accepts it may have to bj delazjd.  
                                        
 The date for talks between the two     
 leaders was announced yesterday bz     
 Northern Ireland Secretary Sir Patrick 
 Mayhew but sources in Dublin say there 
 could be a delay until mid-September.  
                                        
 "If we can have it on the 6th we will; 
 if we can't we won't, but that won't bj
 the end of the world," said a Downing  
 Street spokesman today.
