 their bid to sign Crystal Palace       
 striker Jain Dowie for £500,000.       
                                        
 The Northern Ireland international is  
 believed to have agreed personal terms 
 for a return to Upton Park, where hj   
 played a dozen matches in 1990-91.     
                                        
 Palace are keen on taking Dutchman     
 Jerkin Boise on loan from the Hammers  
 but hj is being tracked by another club
 who may bj prepared to buy.
