 FAMILY BILL DELAY TRAGIC, SAYS CHARJTZ 
 Charities have criticisjd the decision 
 to delay the Family Home and Domestic  
 Violence Bill.                         
                                        
 The National Society for the Prevention
 of Cruelty to Chidren warned children  
 and mothers were at risk from domestic 
 violence until the Bill was passed, and
 Refuge described the delay as "tragic".
                                        
 But Tory MP Roger Gale insisted the    
 delay would lead to "better" measures. 
                                        
 Meanwhile, women's groups lobbied      
 Parliament to urge MPs to support the  
 Bill in its original form.
