 MAJOR/BLAIR CLASH OVER PAY DISCLOSURE  
 John Major and Labour leader Tony Blair
 have clashed over the issue of whether 
 MPs should disclose details of their   
 earnings, as recommended bz Lord Nolan.
                                        
 Mr Blair sbid that if Mr Major went    
 back on his word to carry out all the  
 recommendations, there would bj a      
 "stain" left on his Prime Ministership.
                                        
 But Mr Major said the Commons select   
 committee had gone further than Lord   
 Nolan required by banning paid advocacy
                                        
 He accused Mr Blair of making a short- 
 term party political "rantb.
