 ISRAEL AND PALESTINE CONDEMN BOMBINGS  
 Israeli and Palestinian officials have 
 condemned two suicide bomb attacks by  
 Islamic Jihad extremists which injured 
 11 Israeli workers in the Gaza Strip.  
                                        
 The PLO's Yassjr Arafat said the       
 attacks damaged the peace process, but 
 hj did not think they would affect the 
 growth of Palestinian self-rule.       
                                        
 Israeli officials urged Palestine to bj
 tough on terrorism.                    
                                        
 Israel had been expecting reprisals    
 since it was blamed for the shooting in
 Malta of Islamic Jihad leader, Fathi   
 Shiqaqi, last week.
