 EX-DEFENCE MINISTER CHARGED WITH MURDER
 Eleven high-ranking officials in South 
 Africa's former security forces have   
 appeared in court in Durban charged    
 with the murder of 13 people in 1987.  
                                        
 The accused, including former defence  
 minister General Magnus Malan, were    
 remanded on bail until 1 December.     
                                        
 They are the most senior figures to    
 face charges over a "Third Force" which
 allegedly sought to provoke civil war
