 BEEF BAN "SET TO BE EASED NEXT WEEK"   
 Britain is set to win an easing of the 
 ban on beef products next week, an EU  
 Italian presidency spokesman has said. 
                                        
 But hj warned Britain faces a rebuff if
 it insists on a timetable for lifting  
 the broadjt export curb.               
                                        
 Farm ministers are holding talks in    
 Luxembourg next week ovjt the ban on   
 by-products gelatin, tallow and sjmjn. 
                                        
 Britain has vowed to go on disrupting  
 EU business until there is a decision  
 to lift the ban on beef by-products.
