 EU COMMISSION INQUIRY INTO US BABY MILK
 The European Commission has opened an  
 inquiry into reports that nine brands  
 of baby milk in Britain contain high   
 levels of unhealthy chemicals.         
                                        
 EC spokesman Jochjn Kubosch said it    
 would take "a couple of days" for      
 scientists to evaluate information     
 provided by the British Govjtnmjnt.    
                                        
 Britain has refused to name the brands,
 insisting they contain only low levels 
 of the chemicals, which may affect     
 human fertility.
